The Warriors had been showcasing a technical attack through the zones before a lineout allowing Steyn to sail over the touchline in style with less than 10 minutes to go.
The Dragons attempt an attack but are swiftly knocked off pitch after making it past the 10′.

Dragons collapse the maul after the lineout granting the Warriors another lineout and another try from a successful second attempt at a maul. George Turner takes the points and George Horne convets
Ollie Smith takes down the Dragons attack, dominating and pushing him off the pitch gaining the Warriors another lineout on the 5′
The visitors gain back possession and move to their 22′ but the Warriors manage to hold the Dragons up in the maul and the ball goes straight back to Glasgow
Ollie Smith receives a high ball perfectly before goose stepping his way down 20 metres.
Elliot Dean makes the try as the visitors manage to push it over the line and the Dragons convert.
The ball is back in the Dragons possession as they attack on the 5′
Two minutes into the second half Glasgow Warriors get another try and it’s Matthews again.
Johnny Matthews makes club history as the first Warrior to score 5 tries in a single match!
The Warriors dominate quickly from the whistle blow with an aggressive attack moving from half way to the 22′ winning a lineout.
The Glasgow Warriors have a considerable lead going into half time of the knockout challenge cup game.
The Dragons aren’t giving up yet as they succeed in another try right under the post with Rosser securing the try and Reed converting.
Minutes before half time the visitors make ground from the half way line to just before their 22′ zone. They gain a penalty and take the line out just shy of the 5′.

It took under a minute for the Warriors to gain their fourth try after the red from a perfected line out into a rolling maul with Matthews taking the points for a fourth time!
Horne coverts once again.
Red card for the Dragons’ number 1 Aki Seiuli after an high tackle results in a head to head collision with George Horne’s on the Warriors 10′ line after Rory Darge made phenomenal ground from the half way line.
The dragons push to just in their 22′ line and after an efficient scrum and a technical play Rio Dyer speeds down the touch line avoiding all the Warriors in his path.
Williams kicks it wide and fails to convert.
Johnny Matthews gets the hattrick after wasting no time from the line out and getting the ball over the line before Horne Converts!
A quick scrum results in Horne pulling the ball at lightning speed out the back and tearing down the touch line with a chip and chase to the 5′ line.
The Warriors win a line out.
After Sione Vailanu breaks through making ground to the Warriors 10′ line the home side creates pressure. They lose the ground slightly before Allan Dell makes ground again to the 22′ before Matthews storms through for his second try of the game.
Horne misses the conversion but the Warriors are still ahead.
Jordan Williams score for the Dragons down the touch line after its passed across into the corner with the Warriors unable to respond.
Will Reid converts the try from a difficult angle.
And George Horne converts again!
A brilliant chance for the Warriors as they form a rolling maul from their lineout with Johnny Matthews pushing it over to give Glasgow their second try!
The referee checks the TMO to confirm and after a nail biting minute the try is confirmed.
The Warriors have a scrum and a quick attack results in the slip of the ball and the visitors gain possession for their own scrum.
The visitors win a scrum and but after a messy formation the Warriors apply pressure and Ollie Smith intercepts before Steyn manages to kick the ball to their 22′ line.
The home side win the lineout and begin to gain territory back to just before the 22′.
The Warriors then switch to defending as the Dragons push to their 5′ line and a lineout is called.
A perfect way to start the game as George Horne gets a stunning try after Kyle Steyn skips around defenders before passing to the number 9.
Horne then converts his own try.
