“I’m just happy that the coaches have put faith in me” Oguntibeju
Fresh from his Glasgow debut, Jare Oguntibeju, made his European debut last night in the opening round of the Investec Champions Cup.
“It’s very special,” Oguntibeju said, speaking to glasgowwarriors.org, “I’m just happy that the coaches have put faith in me.”
“The boys have really helped me out and I’m just very happy that I’ve got that opportunity.”
Glasgow put five tries over on Sale in the first half, with Huw Jones securing a bonus point by 25 minutes and George Horne with a hattrick on minute 40. Speaking of this Oguntibenju said, “I have to give it to Sale. They are a very physical bunch, but we just stuck to our game plan.
“We knew what they were like defensively and we knew we had to bring the physicality. I think that’s where those tries came from…along with some magic from the backs”
The second half saw Sale come out fighting and Glasgow only crossed the line once.
“In the changing room (at half time) we knew that the second half that they were going to come out firing. So mentally we were already prepared, we kind of fronted up really well.

“I’m really proud of the boys. Physicality was what we wanted to do at the start of the game and that is what we executed.
As always the noise from the stands at Scotstoun was echoing around the pitch.
“It’s like having that sixteenth guy on the field. Bringing the energy and supporting us. Thanks to everyone who came out! Hope to see you at the next game!”
