Domingo Miotti departs Scotland for France
Fly-half Domingo Miotti has agreed to join French Top 14 side Oyonnax Rugby, subject to the completion of final paperwork.
Although Miotti had originally agreed a contract extension with Glasgow Warriors for the 2023/24 season, a move to France provides an opportunity, driven by his international aspirations, to play more regularly. This is a decision the club supports, agreeing to release Miotti from his contract.
Glasgow Warriors Head Coach, Franco Smith, said: “We wish Domingo the very best with his move to France. He is a valued member of our squad who will be missed within the group.”
For the coming season Ross Thompson and Duncan Weir will be the specialist tens, with Tom Jordan providing Smith and his coaching team another option at half-back, as well as centre. Furthermore, Thompson is now fit ahead of pre-season beginning in August.
