SP Energy Networks Warriors Championship
Established in 2015, the SP Energy Networks Warriors Championship plays a vital role in promoting healthy, active lifestyles to young people across the Glasgow Warriors catchment area.
Over 1000 pupils from 25 schools around the region compete at Scotstoun over five qualification days, with each group winner progressing to the semi-final stage.
The two top teams from the semi-finals then progress to the SP Energy Networks Warriors Championship Final, which is held before one of the final Glasgow Warriors fixtures at Scotstoun each season.
Each school is represented by a trio of teams – an S1 boys side, an S2 boys outfit and an under-15s girls team. The combined performances of each team determines the overall standings in each stage of the championship.
Since coming on board as the club’s official community partner in 2017/18, SP Energy Networks has helped to drive the competition to the next level, with their passion for the grassroots game a valued tool to the club’s community programme.
