10 Warriors selected for final Summer Series showdown
10 of Glasgow Warriors’ inaugural Celtic Challenge squad have been named in the matchday 23 for tomorrow’s third and final match of the U20 Six Nations Summer Series, as Claire Cruikshank’s squad look to finish their campaign in style against Ireland in Parma.
The match – which kicks off at 9am tomorrow morning at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi – sees Scotland seek to claim their first win in the competition’s history, having turned in competitive displays in defeat to both Italy and France in their opening two matches.
Sky Phimister and Lucy MacRae retain their places in the starting XV for the third successive fixture in the competition, the only two Glasgow backs to have started in each match in the competition.
Izzy McGuire-Evans retains her place at full-back after coming in for her first appearance of the campaign against France, whilst Ceitidh Ainsworth returns to the starting lineup after impressing at fly-half in the opening round clash with Italy.
Up front, Megan Hyland joins Phimister and MacRae in starting all three matches of the competition, the Garioch number eight once again given the nod at the base of the scrum.
Stirling County duo Eilidh Fleming and Holland Bogan join their Glasgow colleague in the pack, the pair having been introduced early off the bench in the clash with France last time out.
Three further Warriors await their chance to make an impact from the bench, as Karis Craig and Chloe Brown rotate to the replacements after starting against France in round two.
Glasgow co-captain Rhea Clarke completes the cohort of Warriors selected to close out the campaign, the scrum-half having impressed with her performance against France after missing out on the clash with Italy.
