Leidos make children’s hospital donation ahead of Plaster It Purple

Leidos are supporting Glasgow Warriors’ fundraising drive for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity once again as title sponsor of Friday’s Plaster It Purple match day, and by pledging to donate £7,500.

The club has currently raised £21,000 to date for its ‘Fighting for our Families campaign. Leidos’ donation will guarantee Glasgow Warriors will reach its season-wide target of £25,000, ahead of the Hollywoodbets Sharks game in five days’ time, two months ahead of schedule.

Leidos Scotland Director, Alec Harley, said: “Leidos continues its sponsorship of Plaster it Purple and its mission to raise awareness and funding for the incredible work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital.

“Having recently visited the hospital, I witnessed first hand the profound impact of their work and how the funds are used to support the care of children. It was a truly humbling experience and reaffirmed the community spirit alive in the shared values of Glasgow Warriors and Leidos.”

Glasgow Warriors Managing Director, Al Kellock, said: “We have been delighted by the generosity of our rugby clubs and commercial partners raising money for our chosen charity, who impact so many lives in Glasgow and the west.

“Thank you to Leidos who continue to back our Plaster It Purple event day and who have committed to making another substantial donation.

“Leidos’ donation guarantees we will hit our £25,000 target. With two more months of the season to go, and more activities planned to support the hospital, we now are focussed on raising as much money and awareness for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity as possible.”

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity cares for children from all over Scotland from their base at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. They have been our chosen charity partner since 2018.

The charity raises funds to help young lives at their most vulnerable by investing in ground breaking equipment and research and the continued improvement of facilities and services for children and families in hospital.
